per fare l’università c’aveva già lui la faccia di chi c’insegna,

aveva già la sua strana testa grossa e l’aria di uno che ha freddo fin nelle ossa.

Che tipo strano e riservato, che aria da sbandato.

E non sempre una gobba porta fortuna e oggi si vede che non mi ero sbagliato.

E poi di sardi qui ce n’è già abbastanza, dissi a quel pazzo che gli affittò la stanza.

Io lo sapevo quello lì, me lo sentivo quello lì, che non avrebbe fatto mai molta strada.

Era capace di star dei giorni chiuso nella sua stanza,

forse a studiare non so a che fare, io non gli ho dato mai troppa importanza.

Certo non era allegro come goliardo, ma non ci dimentichiamo che era gobbo e sardo.

Io lo sapevo quello lì, me lo sentivo quello lì, che non avrebbe fatto una bella fine.

Cosa facesse oltre a studiare, non l’ho saputo mai.

Ma avevo capito che fin dall’inizio che quello lì andava in cerca di guai,

avevo capito che era un socialista, quelli li riconosco a prima vista.
